Around Gibo & Shuri Stations Other
Shuri Station area
The Yui Rail monorail stations of Shuri and Gibo serve as the gateway to Shuri sightseeing. The area around the stations has restaurants, cafes, convenience stores, and coin parking, making it a convenient starting and ending point for a walk through the town. From Shuri Station, it's about a 15-minute walk up a gentle slope to Shuri Castle. A popular route is to walk down the Kinjocho stone-paved road on the way back, taking in the view of the old castle town (city buses run from the bottom back into town).
