Chaya Shuri Tofu Cafe
Shuri Station area
Teruya Shokuhin, a 58-year-old shimadofu (Okinawan island tofu) shop in Shuri, renamed itself and its brand "Shuri Tofu" and opened this directly run chaya (teahouse-style shop) in January 2026. Its signature is freshly made, piping-hot "achikookoo dofu" (warm tofu), which can be enjoyed warm right in the shop; okara- and shimadofu-based sweets and tofu andagi (fried tofu doughnuts) are also popular. A place to taste — and take home — the tofu culture carried on in the shadow of Shuri Castle.
