Shurijo Castle Park area
A stone gate at the royal family's place of prayer, where the king prayed for safe travel before leaving the castle. One of the component sites of the UNESCO World Heritage listing "Gusuku Sites and Related Properties of the Kingdom of Ryukyu." It stands close to Shureimon Gate and can be visited together with Shuri Castle, but the forest behind it remains an active sacred site (utaki) of worship today.
